Good solid background in the math and sciencesJun 23 2007Biology
Good solid background in the math and sciences. A lot of people will say that they don't care about essays, but they do. A good SAT score is needed, but not an exceptional one (unless you are going for a scholarship, that's completely different.)
I dont really remembr how i got into this schoolApr 15 2007Computer Science
I dont really remembr how i got into this school. I don't think you have to write essays. I heard that if you have a 1000 on the SAT (verbal + math) you can get in here. the freshmen retension rate is only 60%. I would not recommend this school to anyone. ONLY come here if you have a girlfriend otherwise YOU WILL remain single your entire college life.
SAT: 1950 Male
Have a good GPA, do well at theFeb 08 2007Mechanical Engineering
Have a good GPA, do well at the SAT / ACT. Write a decent essay that probably will not be read.

I recommend students to know what they are getting into before they decide for this school. If you don't feel welcome, don't hesitate to transfer. I don't recommend this school. Good luck with getting any reasonable financial assistance other than loans and minor scholarships.
SAT: 1300 Male

I had a 3Sep 27 2006Civil Engineering
I had a 3.82/4.0 GPA, was a 4-year varsity athlete, and participated in multiple high school activities. And I wrote a killer essay with the help of my AP English teacher.
Good SATAug 28 2006Civil Engineering
Good SAT scores, grades, and extracurricular activities will get you in, but being a minority is an instant ticket to admission. All you have to do is write a legible essay. Don't worry about your writing quality... if you can form complete sentences, you'll beat half the people here.
SAT: 1410 Female
